$ PLACEMENT MAY START AT ANY TIME. EXPECTED TIME IS JAN 2011 BUT MAY BE BEFORE THAT SO START PREPARING.
$ The upcoming three months will decide your career. We have been studying for 18 years but these three months are important.
$ Even if you are preparing for GRE or CAT these placement tests are important.
$ Our ultimate aim is all the 300 students being placed at the end of this academic year.
$Atleast 30 students in our class will have to support their families as soon as they complete engineering, so even if you are not interested do not demotivate others.
PLACEMENT METHODOLOGY:
$ There will model placement test before the companies come for placement. The model placement will be conducted by Srikanth sir.
$ There will be a cutoff mark for aptitude and technical test if you do not cross that mark, you will not allowed for placement.
$ There is an English communication skills program conducted for juniors if you are interested in that you can join. At the end of the program, the whole final years will have to face a interview in which our communication skills will be evaluated.
$ If we do not posses the skills we will not be allowed to attend the placement.
$ This program is not compulsory but if we do not do well in the test we will surely not allowed for placement generally English programme will be clubbed with other placement preparations now they have made it separate please utilize this.
$ Regular group discussion will be conducted by outsiders.
$ We will be monitoring students marks obtained in each test and corrective measures will be taken.
MISTAKES DONE BY OUR SENIORS:
$ Activities of our senoirs(all dept) that defamed our college
$ Some seniors were involved in copying during the placement exam conducted by some company. The company did not recruit any one and has also warned other 5 companies not to visit our college for placements.
$ The company also said that we were not able to select 3 people from your college who were not a part of mass copying because of this incident.
$ we are taking the placement test for our sake so please do not indulge in any of these activities while taking up the tests.Do not take leave or on duty on the day of placement tests.
$ We have to prepare the test questions and only we will be supervising the tests.
$ There will be two tests per week marks will go to srikanth sir.The tests will not be conducted during college hours .
TIPS TO BE PLACED IN A COMPANY:
$ Read the newspaper daily.
Browse the paper daily. Select the article which u like in the newspaper even if you dont have time during the week days cut that article and read it on sunday.GD topics will be general and the ones who are conducting the interview will have viewed them so data what we give should be correct.
$ Develop a hobby.
Whatever you like the most can be cited as hobby. This is a sure question in the placement. Collect data or gain knowledge regarding your hobby.
$ Area of interest.
choose one subject you like as your area of interest. The questions will be
* What is your area of interest?
* Your understanding of the area of interest??
*Application of your area of interest?
So we have been advised to select our project in the area of interest and to start working on it from now so that we can tell wen placement people come. the application of the area of interest will be our project.
$ Speak in English.
Conversation in english will help you a lot in an interview. So try to speak in english with your friends.
$ Certification course.
It is very important for your placement as it will add a credit to your resume. Try to gain more knowledge in the field you are not strong or not aware.
PLACEMENT COMMITTEE WORK:
$ Rough draft of placement brochure SHOULD be ready by June 2.
$ Fair draft by second week of june. We will start distributing brochure to companies by second week of june and end it by mid july or end of july.
